In today’s Do Your Part we take a look at how the government’s Energy Star program can help make your home more comfortable and help you save money in the process.First, when you go shopping for new appliances look for the Energy Star logo. That means the product meets strict energy efficiency standards. Choosing an Energy Star rated washing machine can save 7,000 gallons of water a year. That protects our natural resources and cuts your utility bills as well.
If your home is drafty, has condensation on the windows or cold floors, the Energy Star Web site can help you figure out what’s wrong and how to fix the problem. All of that information can be found at energystar.gov
