Mother's Day Gift Ideas
Every mom loves flowers so give her a blooming plant that will last for years instead of a bouquet of flowers. There are many blooming plants to choose from right now and if you choose the right one you can transplant it outdoors for years of blooms. Plants that are in bloom right now and easy to find include the gardenia and the hydrangea. The treasure of my garden is the peony plant my family gave me years ago. It blooms right around Mother's Day and produces gorgeous, fragrant rose like flowers. If you decide to give mom a plant that will last for years, be sure to include a coupon that tells mom you'll be happy to plant the gift in her garden after she's enjoyed it indoors.
If you're thinking about getting mom a candle for Mother's Day consider soy or beeswax candles. They create less soot and burn longer.
And if you're late getting mom that special card, send her an e-card instead. Below you will find some of my favorite links.
This mother's day do your part for your mom and for mother earth too!
