Stop Flushing $$ - Low Flow Toilet and Displacement Device
Most conventional toilets use between 5 and 7 gallons of water with every flush. You can cut down on that amount by using a toilet tank water displacement device. Simply lift the lid off of the tank and insert a plastic jug that is filled with water and a few stones to weight it down. Make sure that the jug doesn't get in the way of the flushing mechanisms.
Also check your toilet for silent leaks by putting a little food coloring in the tank. Don’t flush the toilet for a few minutes. If the coloring appears in the toilet bowl you have a leak that needs to be repaired.
Installing a low flush toilet is an even better way to save water and money. These toilets use less than 2 gallons a flush compared to the conventional toilet that uses up to 7 gallons a flush.
Do your part by using a toilet tank water displacement device or a low flush toilet. You’ll conserve water and lower your water bill...keeping your money from being flushed away unnecessarily.
