If your mom loves flowers then absolutely she should have them. But instead of buying the bouquet that's only going to last a week, get her a beautiful blooming plant. There are many to choose from this time of year and many of them can be planted outdoors so they can bloom for years to come.
Peonies are Terri's favorite flower and they bloom right around Mother's Day. They produce a beautiful, fragrant flower and come back year after year.
Hydrangeas are another good choice. They are in bloom right now and easy to find. You can plant them in the yard and they are easy to care for.
The common peace lilly is a blooming plant that has been shown to remove trace amounts of indoor air pollution.
So do your part and make mom smile. Give her a lasting gift and possibly clean the air too!
